Administration

Autumn Grubb, Ph.D., Director/CEO and Interim Academic Dean, received her doctorate from University of Kentucky in Cultural/Media Studies, with emphasis in how power and identity are realized at the intersections of race, class, gender, and sexuality.  She has worked in higher education for 29 years.  Her most recent academic appointment was at Georgia College & State University, serving as Associate Professor of Teaching and Learning and Co-Director at the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.  Her primary responsibilities included design and delivery of web-based graduate courses for nurse educators, and professional development trainer for faculty in all disciplines.  As trainer, she developed web-based and face-to-face training experiences guiding faculty skill development in technology infusion and classroom assessment strategies for teaching and learning environments. Her business and administration experience includes six years managing multiple real estate properties, 13 years as a TV production facilities manager, and 3 years as an administrator of 7 graduate and undergraduate distance learning programs. 
Ruth Hayes-Morrison, M. Ed., L.M.T., Dean of Student Services, graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Counseling, and a concentration in Higher Education Administration.  She has a strong background in student support services as the Director of the Pre-Professional Program at the University of Vermont, and as Campus Program Director at New England College.

Hamilton Rott, M.S.T.C.M, A.P., Clinic Director, is a graduate of American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine..  He is NCCAOM certified in herbal medicine.  He studied in Hangzhou, China and completed post-graduate work in Chendgdu, specializing in Internal Medicine, Diabetes and Gynecology.  He has studied Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis since 1998, has taught at Dragon Rises College since 2003, and continues advanced studies with Leon Hammer, M.D.
Daniel Horak, M.L.S. Librarian, is a graduate of the University of South Florida, Library Science Program and holds a B.F.A. from the University of Florida.  He has worked in the Alachua County Library system since 1998, including reference and Internet/database search.  He continues to work for Alachua County libraries while managing the Dragon Rises College Library.
Kate Ellison, Registrar, graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1971 with a degree in Sociology. She brings a variety of experience, including office management, social work, graphic arts, and carpentry. A Reiki Master, she has studied Non-violent Communication, organic gardening, and western herbs. She previously worked in the admissions department of an acupuncture school.
Kathy Chrisman, Office Manager and Clinic Administrator, enhances the office staff with her diverse background and experience.  She has had extensive administrative experience including training, supervision, and coordination of teams.  Her background also includes sales and she currently holds a real estate license.  As office manager, she has done everything including bookkeeping, notary, and even IT work on 10 office computers.  Originally from New York, Kathy has lived in Florida for several years.
Jerrod Fletcher, M.A.O.M., A.P., Administrative Assistant, graduated from Dragon Rises College in 2007 and holds a B.B.A. from Harding University, AR.  In addition to retail sales, he has assisted in an acupuncture practice for two years prior to establishing his private practice.
