Administration
Ewa Hammer, M.A., Director/CEO,
is
a graduate of Norwich University with a degree in Psychotherapy and Counseling
and certified in the practice of Imago Relationship Therapy, NLP, Ericksonian
Hypnosis, Deep Imagery, and other psychotherapy oriented disciplines. She
practiced psychotherapy for 15 years, and taught seminars to psychologists and
clinical social workers. Her business and administration experience includes
five years management of a medical practice, and 15 years as Chief Administrator
of Dragon Rises Seminars.
Sudhir Kudesia, MD, Academic Dean,
received
his degree from the University of Lucknow, India and worked in family medicine
in Texas. He also taught medical
and biological science courses for a number of schools and colleges there,
before becoming Academic Dean at the Dallas College of Oriental Medicine.
Ruth Hayes-Morrison, M. Ed., L.M.T.,
Dean
of Student Services, graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree
in Counseling, and a concentration in Higher Education Administration.
She has a strong background in student support services as the Director
of the Pre-Professional Program at the University of Vermont, and as Campus
Program Director at New England College.
Leon
Hammer, MD,
Clinic Director, is a graduate of Cornell University Medical College, and
the William A. White Institute of Psychoanalysis and Psychiatry.
He served as Medical Director of the Peninsula Child Guidance Center for
8 years, supervising 10 therapists and clerical staff.
Dr. Hammer studied Chinese Medicine in England, China, and with Chinese
master Dr. J.F. Shen and practiced Chinese medicine for 17 years in his own
clinic before devoting his time to writing and teaching. He is assisted by Akemi
Meeks-Borjas, MAOM in the operation of the student clinic.
Kate Ellison, Registrar, graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1971 with a degree in
Sociology. She brings a variety of experience, including office management,
social work, graphic arts, and carpentry. A Reiki Master, she has studied
Non-violent Communication, organic gardening, and western herbs. She previously
worked in the admissions department of an acupuncture school.
Kathy Chrisman, Office
Manager, the newest addition to Dragon Rises College, enhances the
office staff with her diverse background and experience.
She has had extensive administrative experience including training,
supervision, and coordination of teams. Her
background also includes sales and she currently holds a real estate license.
As office manager, she has done everything including bookkeeping, notary,
and even IT work on 10 office computers. Originally from New York, Kathy has lived in Florida for
several years.
